Well it looks like my spontaneous mini roadtrips may be put on temporary hold. Gas at the pop-shop across the street is - get ready…
$3.45 a gallon.
And that’s for regular unleaded. Oh, I forgot to mention - it was just $3.11 at the same pop-shop last week, and I thought that was high.
Ludicrous! Especially considering Elvis - aka “Hungry Hungry Hippo” has a big stomach - 22.5 gallons to be exact. I may have to put Hungry Hungry Hippo on a diet plan.
What makes this more ridiculous is that the cost of oil/petroleum is the index point for everything consumer-based: food, clothing, etc. - via manufacturing costs. Delivery costs. Packaging costs. And it’s absurd that, considering the state of the sagging economy / recession, the greedy fat bastards at the oil companies refuse to do the right thing by lowering those exorbitant inflated costs. But apparently the greedy fat bastards don’t see it that way.
I really want to see them knocked on their asses. Cause now they’re cutting into my playtime activities.
What can I do? Hmmm.
- Keep wearing my rose-colored glasses that paint a pretty picture of the world around me?
- Continue to feed the greedy fat bastards?
- Start hoofing it?
Oh, wait - there’s an idea!
Anyone got a horse and buggy they want to unload?
