Ok, enough is enough already. It’s March for pete’s sake. Everywhere else people are getting their shorts out, working on their golf games, seeing that yellow ball in the sky that’s called a freaking SUN. But oh no, not this gal. No, I LOVED New York. I wanted to STAY in New York. I thought it was oh so pretty (insert the sounds of little birdies chirping here). Well, fuck all that flowery little shit.
This is what I woke up to this morning:

Don’t even WHISPER the words, “but it’s soooooooo pretty”. I got a one finger salute for you. Even my dogs were pissed off .. they started fighting over who got to run back in the house first:

I grounded them and told them both to go sit in the snow and stop fighting (obviously one doesn’t know how to listen):

As I was slugging around, I went out front to see how things were faring there, and found my snowtoys submerged. However, in that moment of WTF statements, I found something really really cool. If I laid under the trailer, I could experience a rare, and most necessary, springtime sensation .. ground .. no snow … oh yeah!

Keep moving with me now. As I rounded the bend of my house, it was THEN I noticed what I forgot to do yesterday afternoon before I shut myself in for the day:

Yeah, that would be my mustang (soft-top) convertible sitting there covered in snow … brought out of the garage with the tease of spring in the air. So much for wishful thinking.
As I proceed to go back inside, I find the Shamster waiting for me. Obviously they didn’t want to be out in this shit either, and were probably wishing the same thing I was.

I am thinking that NY doesn’t want me here. I’m a country girl from the south and all this cold, snowy weather is finally getting under my skin. If anyone has a room for rent in a warm, dry, relatively uneventful part of the world, give me a shout out. I don’t take up toooo much space.
Sighhhhhhhhhhhh … until that day comes, I will continue to think of faraway places, white sandy beaches, blue oceans, and seagulls shitting on my head. Oh, what a lovely thought that conjures up.
