I love candles. And living with a sweaty teenage son, candles are a necessity.
If you walk into my house at any given time, you will be greeted with the scent of whatever fits my fancy at that given moment. Could be spring flowers, french vanilla or Macintosh apples. Currently, the fragrances toggle between Mistletoe, Fireside, and Home For The Holidays.
Mistletoe is my favorite. It’s a relatively new scent put out a couple of years ago. I beg the Yankee Candle Company - please don’t ever discontinue this one. I don’t think I could get through the holidays without it. It’s a heavy fragrance, but one that welcomes and envelopes the guest with the feeling of ‘holiday,’ evergreen forest, and winter. If you’ve not had the pleasure to sample this one, by all means, do so. It’ll become a favorite for you, too.
Home For The Holidays - This is a standard in my house. It’s just not the holidays without it. With the perfect blend of warming spices, you’re always at Mom’s or Grandma’s with a houseful of wonderful baked goods - cookies, cakes, spiced ciders, etc. (I’m wishing I was there now!)
WoodWick is a new line of very fragrant organic (soy) candles. They have a wood wick (hence the name WoodWick) that provides a crackling sound as they burn. Fireside has a mellow, woodsy musky scent. Even if you don’t have a wood-burning fireplace, you’ll think you’re in the room with one. Highly recommended.
What scents fill your house?
