I can’t believe we’re into November already. Where’d October go? For that matter, September, too. Seems like it was just Labor Day! Next thing you know, December will be here.
The clocks rolled back this weekend - finally! I was really in need of that extra hour of sleep. Of course, since Big Brother decided to change the schedule, we now get four weeks less of slumber. Rat Bastards! My internal clock isn’t pleased with this, either!
During the week, I don’t sleep. The hamster wheel is churning along too fast to slow down, and I find it very difficult to unwind the brain. So, I use the weekends to catch up on sleep, often lounging in bed until close to noon. It’s a waste of a day as I know there are things that need to be done. But, in that time, I shuck the other responsibilities and snuggle my pillows and blankets, and watch an old movie.
It’s the little things, the simple things that make us happy. Well that - combined with the need to prepare for the mad rush that’s about to be upon us. After all - dare the thought - the holidays are just around the corner.
Oh lord. I’m not ready.
Can we roll the calendar back a couple of months?
