Whoa - a new name for the blog. Yes! I just didn’t think Ephemeral Acuity was the best fit anymore. It sounded much to much like a brain hemorrhage, which it’s not.
So how did I come up with the name Cold Coffee …and reruns?
Cold Coffee. It takes me all day to drink one tall mug of coffee. Being the Starbucks Princess that I am, the mug is insulated stainless steel so it never really gets cold/cold - but it does get lukewarm. And it does take me hours to drink a cup of breakfast blend with a double shot of nesquik, splash of lowfat Coffeemate, dash of cinnamon, and a spoonful of sugar. It’s a diabetic’s dream (or nightmare, as the case may be).
As well, sometimes it takes all day just to figure out what it is I want to say. What does that have to do with cold coffee? By the time I’ve finished my story, my coffee’s usually cold - which all ties right back into the new name. See?
…and reruns. All of the stories here are reruns. They’re new to the reader(s), but are re-tellings of things that have already happened and worth posting to enlighten someone else’s day. Or possibly are “pregrets” - those things I’m going to eventually end up regretting later on. Sometimes the names are changed to protect the guilty. Other times, they’re not - and these escapades are put on parade for all to read about. Give them their fifteen minutes of fame - or shame - as the case may be.
Like the name? Let me know what you think.
Like the logo and banner? Me, not so much. Going to be changing that, too - in time. Baby steps. I felt creative and whipped up a new banner after all. Comments?
I first have to plan a birthday party for 15 teenagers - upperclassmen - at Chuck E. Cheese. That’ll be a hoot!
Anyway, I just bought the domain coldcoffeeandreruns.com so y’all will now have two ways to get to the blog. You’re thinking wow - that’s a mouthful. Yeah, but it’s also easy to remember.
Cheers!
