It’s been a grueling week. This weekend I embark on a weeklong sojourn to visit family back home in Nashvegas. I’m looking forward to going home. Although I’ve been in the Northeast for several years now, Tennessee will always be my home.
I fly out Sunday, leaving the “I-want-my-independence” teenage son to spend the week with his Dad.

And, I leave in their care a crown-tailed beta fish named Elton,
and two guinea pigs, Marley and Iggy.
Mind you, historically, the pets’ care has been - let’s just say somewhat questionable, although done with the best intentions at heart (I think). A classic example → Housesitting 101. I am hopeful the week goes without incident, and will be checking in from time to time to see how all are faring. Sure I’ll have great stories to share upon my return.
Have a good week everyone!
