The following are lyrics for a song written by my son, Nick, during the summer of 2006. I must admit I was very impressed. So, I’m giving him his props by including it here on the site.

Time is becoming an endless factor.
All that time that we wasted alone;
The starving waters;
The poisonous children.
Have we lost our minds?
What the hell were we thinking?

A virus known as rage
Is brutally destroying the human race.
It’s becoming a dying nation
lead by an overpowering ruler.
You will be lucky if you are still alive.

Have we lost our minds?
We can’t choose the sides -
They will choose us.

Why must this tension rise -
When the world is at stake.
Why must this happen?
Why must this happen.

We need to overthrow this nation
before it overthrows us.
Why must this happen?
Why must this happen.

So close your eyes and look into the future -
Will this last forever and ever?

Would the world we could’ve had been much better? much better.

Just close those eyes.

Will this world last forever?
