Another friend. Another town. A different day.
A friend had recently purchased a new home. After having moved in, she came to discover that the lights in the den didn’t work. She checked the circuit breakers, and tried to otherwise diagnose what the problem might be. Having a double masters degree, she thought she should be able to work this out. However, unable to do so, she finally breaks down and contacts an electrician.
When the electrician shows up, she explains the problem. The electrician then sets out to solve the mystery.
After a few minutes, he came looking for her. “I think I discovered the problem,” he said. “Lady, you ever hear of a light bulb?”
